September 18 Operation Inshore Slam, a fishing tournament to benefit Wounded Warriors, Hidden Wounds and The Anchors Away Program

Lt. Dan Weekend - Weekend of activities and entertainment for Wounded Warriors in conjunction with "The Beaufort Shrimp Festival."
Weekend includes:
- Seminars on chemical dependency and relationship coping
- Activities to choose from: golf, tennis, basketball, scuba diving, kayaking, adaptive aquatics, fishing, horseback riding, boat rides
- All volunteer group; most volunteers are veterans
- Free concert by "The Lt. Dan Band." Lead singer is Gary Sinise who played Lt. Dan in the film, "Forrest Gump"
- Wounded Warrior presentations at local high school
- 5k run and 5k bike race offered for whole community and the wounded warriors
- Funding for wheelchairs, travel and financial safety net for Wounded Warriors provided by the Independence Fund
- Wounded Warrior's caregivers will be given a "Spa Day"
- Wounded Warrior's families have all needs taken care of, including: meals, transportation, and hotels.
- Independence Fund provides airfare for Wounded Warriors and family to fly into Beaufort

Oyster Roast fundraiser
*This calendar of events does not include VA, Roper, MUSC and other misc. outings, fishing excursions and harbor cruises. Anchors Away typically does up to ten a week when all boats are in working order.
For each fundraiser, Anchors Away will be put together a committee for the fundraiser and auction. Each will need a Chair and Co-Chair and lots of volunteers. If you are interested in joining a committee or volunteering for the event, please
contact Anchors Away!
All fishing tournaments have Captains Meetings which Anchors Away will attend, most dates have not been posted yet.
All fishing tournaments are pending sponsorship.
